Grey's Anatomy is one of the most successful shows on television, but which episodes were the least successful of each season?

For 17 seasons, Grey's Anatomy has taken viewers on a wild ride through two hospitals, countless marriages, divorces, and one night stands. The show has put audiences through many emotions of laughter, sadness, joy, and pain. With over 360 episodes, viewers will without a doubt have their favorites.

However, the good folks over at IMDb have their own list of high and low-ranking episodes. Whilemanyfans of Grey'smight argue with this list, the fact remains that even one of the best shows has dropped the ball a few times in terms of storylines.

Meredith is pressing issues with Derek as their relationship grows, but Derek is still not providing much insight into his personal life.

Cristina, not one for the whole family vibe, is having a hard time dealing with her pregnancy. Alex is trying to convince a young patient that a particular surgery could actually save her life.

George and Callie are an item but no one knows this. They're still sneaking around, but Izzie catches wind and wants all the details.

Preston Burke, as great as he is, is showing nerves when he has to operate on one of his idols. Meredith is contemplating a date with Finn,while Addison and Derek are trying to work things out.

Cristina and Burke's mothers are in town to plan what was supposed to be the dream wedding. Addison is dealing with a typical Grey's Anatomy love fiasco which involves her, Derek, Mark Sloan, and Meredith.

Addison decides to leave town, which results in what would soon become the first Grey's Anatomy spinoff,Private Practice.

Izzie and George are exploring their newly intimate relationship. Derek and Meredith are back in the swing of things, and Mark is ready to make a move on Erica. Love is everywhere (or instant hookups are).

Meredith is trying to come to terms with the sister relationship she has with Lexie, so she warns Alex about their encounters.

Christian is still showing no signs of respect for Meredith's and Derek's relationship. But then fate steps in and Christian begins to feel left out.

Cristina begins to worry if Lexie is hurting herself on purpose and wants nothing to do with her in the OR. Webber is trying to woo Dixon to work at Seattle Grace, but Bailey is not convinced she's the proper fit.

Callie wants a family with Arizona but at the time, Arizona is more focused on her career, and. Mark's daughter is ready to deliver the baby but then has second thoughts concerning the adoption process.

Jackson puts April on the spot regarding how much she admires Derek. Arizona questions the decision-making of Sloan, which causes conflict between her and Callie.

The fallout from the accident is on full display here. Callie's life is hanging in the balance, but not just hers, the baby's as well. The staff is doing their best to save both the mother and child that but the stress is taking its toll.

Addison is flown in and sides are taken. Mark and Arizona draw a line in the sand regarding Arizona's place in Callie's and their baby's lives.

The day started off great, but what can go wrong on Valentine's Day for the staff at Seattle Grace?

Owen and Cristina continue their drifting apart. Meredith and Derek are struggling to get some alone time. Callie and Arizona are planning for a trip, and Ben and Miranda have plans of their own.

A magician is on the scene after almost cutting his assistant in half. Arizona doesn't know it, but she's the object of another doctor's crush. Owen and Cristina are still going through the motions.

Cristina is not convinced that Owen has just abandoned his plans for having a baby. Miranda just wants to be left alone and is hiding from everyone.

Halloween time is here, and that's where the super weird stuff goes down.

Patients are biting one another, Webber is handing over an important surgery to residents, and the grown-ups on the staff can't decide what to wear to a party. Can the doctors get past their personal issues and enjoy themselves?

This is the episode where the hearts of Grey's Anatomy fans were broken. Derek is a witness to a car accident and does the right thing by helping out.

He saves a life but gets in his car, and one second was all it took to take away one of the best characters in the history of the show. Derek is rushed to the hospital where a mistake was made that cost him his life.

In the midst of going through their divorce, Grey's Anatomy paid homage to one of the best couples on the show.

April and Jackson have been through enough in their short time together to rival the bond of any union at Seattle Grace or Grey Sloan Memorial. It's an episode of how they got to where they are now.

Jackson and April travel to Montana to perform a surgery at one of his mother's hospitals, only to encounter his father at a bar. Jackson has some questions, but it's what happens between him and April that had fans swooning.

There was a chance at reconciliation between the two, but both parties pulled back before they had a chance. The road trip gave time to hash out issues but, in the end, it wasn't enough.

Maggie and Jackson are busted by Richard and Catherine. April is spinning out of control and when Jackson tries to find out what the cause is, she kisses him.

Meanwhile, Owen and Amelia are going through their issues, as Owen returned from a trip to see Teddy, but Amelia has labeled him a cheater.

Deluca's dad makes a visit to the hospital in order to pitch a new idea to Grey Sloan Memorial Board.

Niko and Levi are at that stage in their relationship where they have to decide to stay hidden or come out to their families. Maggie lets the truth be known to the world that she is the love child of Richard Webber and Ellis Grey.

No death, but Grey's loses a popular character. Alex leaves letters for the important people in his life and explains why he decided to not only leave the hospital, but Seattle altogether.

It would be revealed that Alex and Izzie Stevens have reconnected, and Izzie had Alex's children.

Meredith is still sick. Bailey is still grieving the loss of her mother, and Teddy is still begging Owen for forgiveness.

But to top it all, Opal comes back in some weird crossover attempt with Station 19. Meredith gets a sudden moment of energy, but that does not last long and before the episode ends, and she's in worse shape than ever.
